While on the way home just now, me and Xiang saw this:





We nearly died trying to stop laughing.


She DANCED THROUGHOUT the whole journey. Too bad I wasn't sitting in front of her, otherwise I could have seen whether her front view was as bad as her back view. From the back, she looked like she was having consistent spasms in her butt.


Oh boy, if only if she looked more of the part of a seductive dancer, I would have minded watching her. The guy beside me burst out laughing while pretending to read his book la. It was that absurd that we couldn't stop laughing: Me, Xiang, the guy beside me, the couple opposite us, the girls by the door.


I wonder how the man standing beside the girl having spasms dancing could maintain a straight face sia. He was either VERY cock eye, or his control over his laughter was amazingly impressive.


Too bad after she changed train at JE, she managed to get a seat and didn't continue her dancing, or else Sidney could have seen her at it.


Advice to the girl (if she ever happen to read this blog, which is like never, but who cares.): Please, practise at home la k? We really didn't wanted to laugh at you 'cause it's so mean, but we couldn't help it. Choking back our laughter nearly killed us sia.

Today (or rather, yesterday), we went to school with half a mind to have fun, and the other half in the mugging mode.


The mugging mode was emphasized during the developmental tutorial whereby everyone's so attentive that you can practically hear a pin drop if you ask Prof Peter Cheung to keep quiet.


However, it was a different thing during Genetics.

Day after day, I come home after a shitty day (Gosh, this sounds so.. secondary school.) wanting to relax, sleep, whatever.


But day after day, there are other people who come home after a shitty day, thinking that only they themselves had the shittiest day of their lives, while I, in comparison, will not have as shitty as day as them.


Reason?


I'm still studying. They are working. Studies cant be as bad as work, can it?


Well, it CAN be as bad.


Try sitting through hour after hour of lecture, listening to a prof who doesnt have the words "SPEAK UP" in his vocabulary teaching a damn cheem module that I have such difficulty understanding.


Then realizing there's some unpleasant undercurrents going on. Felt but not seen (except for the most sensitive ones). Yet there's nothing I can do about it 'cause no matter how hard I try, I cant determine the reason for the origin of the unpleasantness.


Stressed as it is, I would come home to a place where there would be some minor things that I get the blame for when in reality, that's none of my bloody problem, things that get on my nerves, arguments that lead to me snapping at everything.


I seriously don't want to do that, but I cant help it.


我累了。

1. Going for a walk around the neighbourhood.


I think we walked the entire neighbourhood for more than 20 times in the span of 7 days that we were working there.

We discovered the cheapest bubbletea, the nicest bubbletea (Egg pudding!), and striked up a friendship with the uncle that sells handphones in the shop next to the bubbletea place.


And one fine day, we saw this uber cute little boy with a damn pretty dog.



The dog's named Purple (So weird a name that I could remember it after 2months!)


The dog's so huge while the boy's so tiny that he had such a terrible time getting Purple to move, by going "Come on.. Come on.. Let's go home!" in his tiny voice.


My heart just melted at that sight 'cause the boy's too young to be roaming the streets at his age with a huge dog that somehow refuse to budge, and of course, 'cause he's so darn cute and so friendly ('cause he talked to me!).


Xiang nearly throttled me for stroking the dog's fur and refused to come near me for the rest of our walk around the neighbourhood.


2. Play *coughs* cards *coughs*


We couldn't play real cards, so we torn paper and wrote numbers and shapes on them to play bridge.

Yesterday, something overcame me as I went to message the few secondary school friends that I have on my MSN list.


Thing is, I havent talk to them for the longest time ever, some for as long as 5 or 6years since I left ny. The strangest thing was, there was no sense of awkwardness at all.


And to think I procrastinated for 6years to talk, and yet I missed him by a paltry single week. He has flown off to the US and according to him, never to come back. I don't know how much to believe, but oh well. There's nothing I can do, can I?


Things are weird in that sense. To have the person right there on my MSN list but to not talk for years, and when I finally talk to them, they are gone. If this is not irony, I don't know what else to call this stupid thing.


Some might call it fate, some might say too bad. All I can do is blame myself for fearing the awkwardness that didnt even exist.

I might change to blogging full time here (instead of just popping by from time to time), but that means lesser pics (or no pics at all). Let's just see how comfortable I am with blogging all my thoughts out instead of just posting all the happy pics shall we?

I realized that when I'm busy (read: notes to read, tutorials to do.. etc etc.), I tend to procrastinate. And that is so not constructive.


So here I am procrastinating at the amount of Developmental tutorial to be done. 2 freaking tuts! Freak.


School so far has been a killer. The lectures are either damn tought (i.e. Neuro) or damn draining (i.e. Developmental) or boring (i.e. erm, Research Seminar). Cant there be nice lectures that are not so tough?


But give me Developmental over Neuro anytime. I will grab it. At least the lecturer's good. (though I fell asleep once. But I was tired and I woke up after 3min! *protest*)

The weather was really nice to us. Though it threatened to rain (dark clouds and all) in the late morning and early afternoon, it soon cleared and gave us a damn beautiful weather with really pretty clouds.

Went to celebrate Ah Gong and Ah Ma's wedding anni yesterday at Jumbo.

55 years!


That's like more than twice of my age + 13years la. Gosh.

Oh, and I'm in specs 'cause my contacts were all used up, and I'm waiting for them to come to school so that I can buy cheaper contacts. Till I remember I have another pair extra (today) that is.

After that, met up with Yanling along with Xiang.


And boy, she's still as funny as ever. She's not one you would wanna mess with. But she's one of the most straightforward person that I ever know in my entire life. Really candid. If she likes someone, she's really nice to him/her. But if she doesn't like that someone, she won't spend anytime entertaining him/her.


This is so increasingly rare in this world that we are living in that I appreciate her candidness. No hypocrisy at all.


Gosh, how I missed her.


This time round, after shopping around in Bugis for some time (in order to help us feel hungrier) and searching for decent food, we decided to eat Ma La Steamboat again -- but without the Ma La soup.


I think we ate like 50 over meatballs between the 3 of us, 20 over prawns (ahh.. such a waste), loads of golden mushrooms plus veg, 2 eggs and many more misc stuff.


But guess we cooked too much so much so we had to hide meatballs under the shells of the prawns and loads of used tissue paper to throw them away. *sheepish grin*


Anyhow, Xiang left before we could take a decent pic. So it's just me and Yanz.

At Suntec AGAIN. ('cause that's the only place that allows us to sing till 7pm for KStudent. The stupid Marina Square will chase us out once it's 5.30pm. =S )


I swear the waitress there can recognise me already.


And I was wearing my red sweater again. Sheesh.


Anyhow, was supposed to meet WenSheng, Alvin and Eric with Xiang, but who knows she had gastrics and couldnt make it. So I went to meet them anyway. =)))


I think the seats over at KBox are too comfy. Waaaaay too comfy.

After planning for the 9186591655691591th time, Maidu outing finally materalized into something real today. =))


Anthony, Shuling (aka Po), Chao, Brian and I went for our yearly (sounds so sad) Maidu KBox at Suntec.

We then met up with Ariyo before going to Carl's Junior for dinner.





We sat there for the longest time, chatting about everything under the sun from cancerous cysts to lab attachment to which prof is rumoured to be the one to get the next Nobel prize.


I think we sounded damn geeky. Shite.


And guess what?


It was a TUESDAY.


How rare can it be, for a Maidu outing to be on a TUESDAY? Tuesdays are Waffles (are Half Price) Day!!!!


At Gelare of course. =))


Despite our damn full stomachs, we just had to pop over to Gelare for the waffles. Maidu has been talking about eating the half priced waffles at Gelare for over a year, and finally, we got to eat it.
