On the eve of my astro paper, or rather, about 11 hours and a half away from my astro paper, I'm actually sitting in front of my lappy blogging.


Maybe it's the nice old songs that got me into such a good mood. Maybe it's 'cause I'm so sick of looking at the astro notes. I don't know.


Anyhow, decided to start on post on my favourites!


On my favourite friend,



Xiang!


Okay, there's no need to guess actually. On the account that every single one of you who knows me would know her too.


But a litte introduction is necessary for the uninitiated ya?


We have been through the same primary school (jps!), to same secondary school (ny!), to the same jc (pj!), and finally to the same uni (ntu!), and the same course (sbs!).


Enough of the exclaimation marks there.


But anyway, she's freaky in the sense that I can just walk along a particular path and just say "You know..", and she would say "Ya. blah blah blah. yada yada yada.", talking about exactly what I wanna mention. She leaves me speechless at times at the telepathy that we share. Really no joke alright.


And through so many years, it's no wonder why she's my favourite and best friend. It's true that we squabble on a daily basis, we hit each other (yeah, I know. We are 22. I know. I know.), we get pissed off with each other all the time...


... but she's still my best buddy. =D


I think I shall stop here la huh. I can go on forever. =)




Next up! On my favourite cousins!

Grasso!





Apparently a certain someone saw this pic and thought that she's utterly pretty and kept bugging me to put this pic on.


And another certain somebody saw this pic and thought that the person beside me was a guy, and my bf at that. HA.


Anyway, Grasso, besides being my cousin, she's technically my godsis as well, on the account that her parents are my godmom and god-dad. But erm, calling her Gan-Mei! is enough to put goosebumps on anyone's arms. So let's just stick to calling her Grasso!


She's the life of any party (when she's feeling up to it and not too stressed out.), a really kind soul (who might get bullied), and has a damn infectious laughter till our 1 year old niece will just chup in and laugh a damn loud yet cute laughter upon hearing Grass laugh.


Oh, she loves sunnies and huge earrings, with a different fashion taste as compared to any other girl on the street. And did I mention, she's pretty? =)




Next up, Jasmin! (I would prefer to call her Jasso, but I'm kinda worried that she would murder me. So let's just stick to Jas!)



She's real pretty too huh? Oh! The one beside her is real pretty too! =D


This girl here is the one with the most up to date fashion sense. She would be the one who has an eye for great looking clothes, accessories, shoes.


And the both of us love the chicken wings fried by our dearest Ah Gong, sitting at the table eating chicken wings when we were supposed to eat loads of other stuff instead of focusing on the chicken wings.


Typical conversation when we are eating chicken wings goes like this:-


Me: "Eh Jas, pass me some tissue leh. I wanna put bones."


Jas: *passes 2 pieces of tissue paper with a chicken wing in her hand*


Me: *busy myself with putting the chicken bones on the tissue paper*


Jas: *Eh. Lend me put the bones too.." *squeezes bone onto my pathetic looking tissue*


Me: "Die! Only got so few chicken wings left!"


Jas: *laughs in her characteristic laugh* "Oops. I ate 3! You?"


Me: "Eh. I only ate 2 lo!" (when in reality I ate 3 too. HA!)


In essence, we would be eating chicken wings, snatching chicken wings, snatching tissue paper, sharing tissue paper, laughing at each other.


Gosh, I miss eating chicken wings with her. And shopping of course. =)


And this girl is having her As this year la. Jiayou man!!! I've absolute faith in you. =)Let's go eat subway after your exams! And shopping!! And cycling!! And KTVing!!!




And how can I forget Jeanno?


Jeanno, Beanno, Jeannieeeeee!





This girl is turning out to be a huge beauty. With her long legs that I would kill for. Her skinniness that I would kill for too. And her megawatt smile, I bet she's turning heads as we speak.


Jeanno is the one who shares my love for playing all the DS Lite games (Zelda! Phoenix Wright! Trauma Centre! Life Signs!), and LocoRoco (however you spell it.)


Oh, and she loves soggy fries like me la. We would be snatching for the soggy fries at 3 in the morn at the Mac's. We once mug (she mug. I play ds/psp/read reader's digest) from 12am till 6.40am at the Mac's before. Absolute craziness.


And how can I forget to mention how she went round Thailand looking for dog shit for me. As in the gow sai pork floss, getting stares from her classmates when she asked them if they knew where to get gow sai. =D


She's crazy, spontaneous, hilarious and absolutely fun to be with.


Actually, I think I have such wonderful cousins that I love to hang out with. To think that I'm at the age of 22 yet still loving every single moment that I spend with them. The fact that we have endless topics to chat about, find amusement in the stupidest things, and laugh at everything helps too.


I hope we would be yelling "Pai kwar! Pai kwar! Pai kwar!" 30 years down the road. =)



Alright, I better get some sleep before the astro paper tomorrow. Jya ne!

Erm, I'm a little reluctant to blog recently 'cause, the truth is, I have been watching Jap dramas non stop. So the lazy bug caught me unaware and refused to let go for the longest time ever.

Enough of craps.


Let me update in a random manner, with random musings along the way k? =))

On 29th April, we finally had the very last paper of our Year 3 Sem 2: BS314 Pharmacology.


For one reason and another, I prefer to call it BS310.


Here's the exam hall that had me so gan cheong 'cause I was trying my darnest to remember all the drug names and functions. Terrible experience 'cause there's one particular question that I cant remember for nuts.

After the paper, the bunch of us who were going for KTV went over to Hall 14 to eat my fav... PORK CHOP! Wooo. Delicious.

For one reason and another, I ended up being the only girl who went for KTV.

This 10bucks KTV has got shark fins soup can. Fake and plastic-y one I mean. Ha.


After the KTV, we went for the frog legs porridge in chinatown. But it cost like 8bucks la. Refusing to eat such a damn ex pot of porridge, I ate the 猪么粥。


It taste just like any other porridge la. Damn disappointing. I prefer the Tiong Bahru ones. Wooooo.

After the damn disappointing but filling dinner, we went over to the desserts place as per our tradition.

About 2 months ago, we celebrated my Gugu's bday.


She is 60 la! But don't look 60 at all. =))


And about 2 months (?) ago, we celebrated my ah ma's bday. =)))

And about a month plus ago, halfway through the exams, my favourite duck kway teow at Stirling Road closed down much to my sadness.


Closed down 'cause the hawker centre's undergoing renovations for the umpteem time. So utterly annoying.




The Uncle with his daughter who makes the BEST duck kway teow in the whole world.


I grew up eating the duck kway teow, with my entire extended family loving it soooooo much. And this fabulous duck kway teow is found hidden away in the humble Stirling Road.



Omgosh. I can practically taste it in my mouth la. Absolutely delicious.


And they make the best chilli sauce to go with the duck kway teow.




Don't belittle this little guy here. He makes me crave for the duck kway teow.


Oh oh oh.


And they make the best stewed chicken feet ever. So soft and smooth and stewed just right. I can never find this anywhere else.




Sigh. When can I eat this again?



I finished up every single bit of the duck kway teow that day, save for the extremely huge vegetable stem and duck skin.

Sigh.

Anyhow, enough about duck kway teow. The other day after exams, we had this bbq at Xiang's house. =)))

Oh ya, I gotta mention this. Ant was trying to 串 all the taiwanese sausages with tongs la. TONGS leh. Xiang and I were so amused by the it.

Oh, and I gotta mention this. We had the nicest satay ever. From Neo's satay. Xiang and I had it over at Yannie's 21st bday and decided to get it this time for the bbq. Ho ho. Utterly juicy and yummy.

Oh, and I gotta mention this. Roland made it!


It was like a miracle seeing him around after he went MIA for the longest time ever. I think I did not see him for a month or so even though we are studying in the same school. Supposedly.


Ok la. I saw him for the exams. Like duhz.

Haha. I think we all missed him so much.


Xiang made tiramisu for the bbq. It was damn nice too. Woooooooo.

So after that, it was all watching the SCV tv with Po explaining all the plot to us, retreating to upstairs for mahjong, some watched the soccer late that night.


Oh, and I gotta mention this: the highlight of the night was Yok erm, letting out the foam that he consumed with the Heinekein beer throughout the night, even shocking Xiang and Shuling awake with the letting out of the air.

Sadly Erinna, Nurul, Priya, Mariam and Chiangwei, Amanda and the twins werent able to make it 'cause of various reasons. (Australia, Busy, Wedding, Ill, Australia, Exams, Exams)


And 'cause it was so rare that so many of us got together, I suggested that we take a class pic ala our graduation pic.


So me and Xiang started fiddling with the timer thing at the opening in the kitchen wall. The rest of the class thought that they were watching tv through the hole 'cause we were squabbling as we always do.

Anyhow, I decided to check Sid's camera out. The one that I convinced him to buy. Canon 850! I forgot what is the alphabet already. Ha.



According to Peggy, we look very tanned here. I like leh! haha..



Me and the damn tanned and muscular Sid who was damn kelian 'cause Hongyi and 60s were scheming how to get him to take off his shirt.


A plan was to turn off the fan and make Sid cook his own steamboat stuff. So that he would get so warm that he would strip. Ha.


After the steammy, I hurried to Ah Ma house to have our minature Mother's Day and Father's Day celebrations.


Grass, Me, Jie, Chris, Jas, Jean, Allan and a few other couz were gonna present our parents with the gift of Bird Nest.



Damn chio right? Brilliant Grass was the one who came up with the idea of tying the bird nest with ribbons. =)
