Pics pics pics
Hmmmm. Am getting tired of this template again. But am so damn freaking lazy to change my template! Anybody wanna volunteer to do it for me? Heee.

Anyhoo, time for pics!

THe other day, Xiang and I went shopping for Xmas exchange gifts. And I bought this!

Photobucket
Darn cute swiss roll. Towel somemore. Useful k? Unlike some cheapo's freebies that's gonna be chuck aside and accumulate dust.

We also bought from this jewellery maker.

Photobucket
Our loot.

And my pockets got burnt. Very burnt. Burnt until chao-ta already. = S

And, on the very next day, we went to Yannie's 21st bday! It was like a miniature sec sch gathering. I havent seen Lim Shan in 5years! Gosh gosh gosh.

Spent loads of time crapping, laughing, crying (happy tears) and trying to remember all our ex classmates.

And Jazreel, I keep thinking of the armpit hair thing la can. Bish.

Photobucket
Me and Jazreel

Photobucket
Xiang and I

Photobucket
The bunch of us secondary school mates + the bday girl

Pics are with Lim Shan and Yannie still. I want pics!!!!

After that, I rushed over to my ah ma house for the Xmas celebrations. Went a little too late. And it wasnt as fun 'cause Jas and Grass invited their friends over. I felt old. So I went to chat with the older clan of mommies instead. =D

Then I rushed over to meet Erinna at her place to pick up the donuts she so kindly brought back from Australia!

Photobucket
Krispy Kremes!!

Photobucket
Assorted~~

Photobucket
Original glazed.

And I admit defeat. Original glazed is really da best. I nearly died and went up into donuts heaven the moment I bit into the original glaze. It's THAT yummilicious. The assorted pale in comparison, and Erinna, I'm gonna believe every single word you say about the Krispy Kremes from now on.

The next day, went to meet 2 of my favorite-st ex colleagues from Reuters at vivo. gsm had to meet us later, so I met Shaur Shaur for lunch at the HK Kim Gary cafe. And we finally got to order..

"给我一份套餐C 和套餐D."

The way how all those HK drama serials always order their food in restaurants! Woooo..

The 套餐 consisted of

Photobucket
A drink. Cute right the mugs?

Photobucket
A soup. Minestrone! Damn delicious.

And a main

Photobucket
Which are so darn yummilicious too. =DDDD

Photobucket
Shaur shaur =)))))

Photobucket
Shaur shaur and Me

gsm met us while we were just starting to eat the main.

Then Shaur Shaur acted spas

Photobucket
"Don't take meeeeeee.."

And I chup in as well

Photobucket
"Don't take ussssssssss..."

After walking about trying to digest the humongous lunch for abit, gsm treated me and Shaur Shaur to hagen daz!!!

Photobucket
It's Shaur Shaur's bday treat!

Photobucket
And gsm treated me 'cause I said she looked younger than her age. Ha.

And I ate my Macadamia Nuts ice cream. Wooahh ho ho.. The best hagen daz ice cream I tell you. =DDD

Then, it was my cousin's wedding on the eve of Xmas. (abit lazy to post pics. Ha.)

I think I drank too much red wine on an empty stomach (blame it on the Chinese wedding dinners that start so darn late) that I puked throughout the night. Lousy I know.

And I was hungover on Xmas day itself and spent the entire day sleeping. Great way to spend my Xmas 2007. Not.

Went to watch "I Am Legend" the other day with Xiang, Erinna and Randy. It was so damn nice that after so many days (alright, 2days), I'm still thinking of the show.

Then, we went to Novena Square for donuts!

Must intro Erinna to the Donut Factory's donuts! Especially the Double Choc!

Photobucket
The hungry Xiang finished like half of her original glazed even before I could take a pic la. Bish.

Photobucket
Erinna with her donuts. =)))

Photobucket
And our plates. The messy one being the amateur. The clean ones being the donut factory donuts crazed eaters: me and Xiang's. Ha.

Then, we went for the Youtiao at Square 2. It's featured on Blinkymummy's blog by the way.

Photobucket
It's damn damn damn damn damn delicious. I can get hooked to eating it.

Too bad it's located at such an ulu place. And a rather dead place at that. Otherwise I'm pretty sure they would do damn well.

Go try it!!

Yesterday, Xiang came over to my house to watch Hairspray (anybody has the soundtracks??) and do my nails. I now have got pretty nails! =DDDD

And we bought this

Photobucket
As a belated Xmas present for Erinna. =)))

Oh, Xiang and I have the exact same hp pouch too. Hehe.

Then I met Erinna for dinner at Geylang! Went to pick Derrick up at old PA first though. And we missed the bloody entrace to PA that was so well concealed that we zoomed right past it before we even noticed the entrance.

After much driving (done by Erinna), we finally made it to Geylang.

And I was stunned by the no. of prostitutes there are in Geylang la! They come in all shapes, sizes and age. And they arent that skimpily dressed as I thought they would be. Wasted.

But they seriously littered the streets trying to pick men up.

And men (rather old ones) were standing around too. Walked past a few flirting with some prostitutes, some trying to make a transaction.

Most of the prostitutes come from China. And I wonder why arent there anything or anyone to stop them from flocking over to Singapore to become prostitutes?!?

Anyhow, I overcame my initial shock and we walked around trying to find the frog legs porridge without success. In the end, we ate beef horfun instead. I was nearly bursting in my stomach. Gosh.

While walking back to the car, Derrick decided to kajiao some prostitutes, but not without making me promise to rescue him. So I made him walk way in front, or the prostitutes won't try to pick him up when he's flanked by 2 girls. ha.

And sure enough, he was picked up by a prostitute trying to charge him 60bucks. HAHA. The story ended with me yelling "Eh, where' Derrick?! Derrick! What are you doing? Come on! We're running late!"

Lame I know.

He recorded the whole thing, but it's too soft that I'm not gonna upload it. =)))

After that, we tried to go to Changi Village to find some bapok. Who knows the place got raided, and there are no more bapoks around anymore. =(((((

So, we went to Tiong Bahru's HK cafe for some desserts instead.

Photobucket
Mine!

Photobucket
Erinna's!

Photobucket
Derrick's!

And damn. The mango tango that Derrick got was so delicious that I couldn't resist ordering one too.

Photobucket
=))))))

And here's the spas guy.

Photobucket
Spoil the pic siaaaa!!

Pics of Me and Erinna are still with Derrick. = S

Alright, that's all for now folks. Till I get more pics!! =D

Merry Xmas 2007
Merry Belated Xmas peeps! =))

Had Xmas celebrations the other day. And while Xmas gifts exchange was an utter disappointment, my cousins' + Xiang's presents took away all the unhappiness.

Presenting..

Xiang's present.

Photobucket
The tofu I have always wanted!!

Jas, Jean, Allan + family's present.

Photobucket
Cutest pinky thing evar.

And the present from Grass

Photobucket
Wooooooooooooo. So darn cute.

Thanks so much dearies. =DDD

On the topic of Xmas gifts, Xmas exchange gifts is the Dumbest. Idea. Ever.

Loads of people put in an effort to buy gifts. (Yes, I'm one of those people who put in an effort, unlike some cheapo idiots.) Yet, they won't get nice gifts in exchange.

Reason?

There are cheapo people who would give freebies. Or old unwanted toys/ photoframes that you can actually see the remnants of dust accumulation on it.

I cant understand why are there such cheapo people around. They have the moolah to buy 2 cars, but are unwilling to fork out a mere 5 to 10 bucks to buy a nice thoughtful gift. Afterall, it's not the cost of the present that count, but the thought that matters.

I guess those cheapo people don't have a conscience. And their skin's so damn bloody thick that they don't mind giving away old things have obvious traces of them being old and unwanted. Or maybe they thought that people would not know who gave what.

Too bad. We know. The family's small my darling. Alright, we are a big family, but a closely knitted one at that. Closely knitted with the exception of you.

And we (the closely knitted ones) know what cheapos you are.

Maybe I should go get those free tissue paper given away with sugarcane drinks and give it to your child next year as an Xmas gift.

But no, I won't do that. 'cause no matter how damn broke I am (there's already a negative sign in my bank account), I won't do such a cheapo thing. I'm bigger than that. =)))

Used to fear about the possibility of the cheapo reading my blog about me bitching about her and would create chaos within the family, and thus, was unwilling to blog about the cheapo even though fumes might be emerging from my ears.

But hell, this is my blog, and what can the cheapo do to me? Ignore me? Bitch about me? Bitch about how my parents havent educated me? Too bad, the facts are already written down in stone that my moral calibre is of a higher quality than the cheapo by leaps and bounds.

Sorry to my blog readers, yes, the 3 of you out there, for my unexpected outburst. This post is something different from the norm, no? But everything's been cooped up inside me for the longest time ever, and what's a blog good for if I cant blog about what I want freely? I might as well get a good old diary right?

So, Merry Belated Xmas peeps. And Happy Boxing day. =))))

And to Yanz, Happy 21st Birthday! You are finally 21! *muacks*

Taiwan Day 1
Alright, I'm finally blogging my taiwan trip.

After spending like about 1 and a half hours resizing the pics, I'm finally ready to blog! Erm, blog about Day 1 that is. The rest of the 9 days pics are still in their original size. Hee.

Anyhow, leave this to load before reading! There's 118 pics in this post!! =DD

And.. be prepared to see loads of my face, and my face, and my face!! You get the gist of it. =DDD

So here we go!

On the fateful day 3rd July 2007, Daddy came home and sent me to the airport along with Mommy.

Photobucket
The excited me. =D

Reached the airport at 10.10am to check in the luggage: Kel with the heaviest luggage at 16kg!!!!, and Brian with the lightest at 9kg. We bade farewell to the 依依不舍 mothers whose kids were leaving them for the 1st time in their entire lives to go for a tour by themselves!

Erm, I'm referring to both Xiang and my Moms. 'cause the guys would have gone for NS trips to who knows where.

Anyhow, we started exploring the airport.

Photobucket
1st shot of the airport after we cleared the 1st barrier. What's that called ar? Immigrations?

Photobucket
Xiang and I were wearing the same shoes. Hee.

Then we saw..

Photobucket
Burberry!

Sadly, the sheep that Xiang and I saw in 2005 when we went HK was gone. =(((

But we found this instead!

Photobucket
Gelare!

It's a Tuesday!

Photobucket
Tuesdays Waffles Half Price Special! =DDD

See how happy we are.

Photobucket
Waffles!!

And so, Xiang and Kel went to buy the waffles

Photobucket
Wooooo!!

While I took some pics.

Photobucket
Of the shop with the damn cute name "KABOOM!!"

Then.. I got bored, and when Kimberly gets bored, she...

ZIPAI!

Photobucket
Zipai 1

Photobucket
Zipai 2: Put on my shades and act like a chick with an attitude.

Photobucket
Zipai 3: This one better?

Photobucket
Zipai 4: I'm back to the nice Kimberly smile. =))

Then Brian decided to chup in.

Photobucket
Zipai 5: Tsk. Spoil my individual zipai.

Decided to take a shot of Kel who was waiting patiently for the waffles.

Photobucket
He's guarding his bag like mad. 'cause he was carrying his lappy inside. Ha.

It was quite some time before our waffles arrived.

Photobucket
Erm, I forgot what's the flavour after 6months.

Photobucket
Same for this one too. Hee.

Then, Xiang and I went to the ladies. See? I'm demure. I said ladies instead of toilet/loo/whatever.

Photobucket
And zipai in the mirror! Ho ho ho.

We came out and I saw the telephone that offers free local calls.

Photobucket
Metallic phone.

Photobucket
In case of emergency, please call..

I couldnt resist..

Photobucket
Heehee.

Photobucket
Alright, give you a 鬼脸

Photobucket
See our departure flight? Taipei! Wooohoooo!!

Photobucket
Our feet

We then took the skytrain over to T2.

And damn, T2 has got more shops than T1!!

Photobucket
Evidence!

We also saw an SIA stewardess.

Photobucket
Wooo..

Photobucket
Took a pic together.

Photobucket
Saw the cabury cow.

Photobucket
And the Singapore Airlines plane..

Photobucket
And took a pic~ =)

By the way, did you know that the airport now uses sunflowers to brighten up the place?

Photobucket
So chio!

Photobucket
So so so chio!

But some were wilting already..

Photobucket
=((

We then took

Photobucket
the skytrain back to T1.

Photobucket
Brian's trolley. Handcarried such a big bag!!

We were looking for Mac to grab something before going to the gate. Who knows, Mac closed down. (omgosh. How is that possible?!) So we settled for..

Photobucket
BK instead..

Photobucket
The playground near BK.

Photobucket
The damn chio BK chairs.

We looked outta the windows and saw

Photobucket
Our plane!!!! =DDD

Anyhow, grabbed our meal.

Photobucket
Oooh. Looks so darn delicious. Heehee.

Then it was time to board..

Photobucket
My fav passport in the whole wide world + my air tix!

Erm, 'cause that's the only passport I have. ha.

Photobucket
Me and Xiang's air tix. Looks so damn LC la. =D

While going through the metal detector, the stupid thing beeped, and the female officer had to use a metal detector to check if the beeping was around my boobs area. Wire in the bra was the irritating thing causing the beeping.

This time round, flying wasnt as convenient as before. No liquid more than I forgot how much ml. Even nail clippers also not allowed. I wonder what can a nail clipper do..

But anyhow, we finally got onto the plane!

Photobucket
Looking outta the window.

Photobucket
You see erm.. I don't know what's that called.

Photobucket
Xiang!

Photobucket
Me!

Photobucket
Xiang and Me!

Photobucket
The 4 of us!

By the way, we took like a gazillion pics of us together before finally getting this. Damn hard to squeeze all of us in.

Photobucket
The white form.

And then.. we took off. =))))

I'm a terrible flyer 'cause I'm allergic to the dusty recycled air inside the cabin. Every single time I take a flight, I would start sneezing non stop.

Photobucket
=(((((

Photobucket
My companion. Bag -- not for vomitting in, but for throwing all the tissue paper. =((((((

Photobucket
The Xiang bo hiu my plight and played with her bro's PSP. Win liao.

Anyway, we were seated at the window seat beside a damn rich woman who kept watching HK drama on her lappy, and going "HEH HEH HEH" at the funny parts. Damn distracting, not that I have things for me to be distracted from, but still..

Oh, and she's rich 'cause she kept eating and drinking. She ate the 8 bucks nasi lemak and drank 2 cans of the 3bucks canned drinks. Like what the hell. Xiang and I only shared one bottle of mineral water.

Photobucket
The damn expensive water. =((((

The woman fall asleep really easily. So much so that when Xiang was going to the toilet, she woke up to let Xiang through, and when Xiang came back, the woman had already fallen asleep, and Xiang had to poke her awake to get through.

Wanna see how she looks like?

Photobucket
Xiang snuck a pic of her snoozing. Ha.

We sat behind his couple that was so energetic in their PDA. It felt as if they were gonna have s3x on the spot. I was sleeping halfway when I woke up to see them in a 热吻. Felt utterly disgusted and irritated 'cause they kept moving the bloody chairs.

Pic of the couple?

Photobucket
Irritating guy.

Got so bored during the 4 hours and 40mins flight that started to play boliao games.

Photobucket
i.e. Bingo.

Photobucket
Erm, Xiang won.

And started taking loads of zipai.

Yeah, camwhore alert!

Photobucket
Sunnies 1

Photobucket
Sunnies 2

After a damn long time, the plane finally landed!

And that was when we realized Wanling (one of the 4 in Love) was seated behind us all the while!!!

Anyhow,

Photobucket
The Taiwan airport.

Photobucket
Looking outta the windows

Photobucket
We hurried to pee.

As we were sitting in the front few rows of the flight, we were one of the first few that deboard (?)/ alight (?) the plane, and thus the toilet is empty. It soon filled up after Xiang and I went in. Ha.

Photobucket
The taiwan phone! Compare it with the Singapore one. =)))

And while queueing at the immigrations, we took another pic together.

Photobucket
Again, we took a gazillion times before finally getting one decent one.

Photobucket
After collecting our luggage. Don't know what that is meant for.

We went to apply for the Youth Travel Pass, and the lady as the counter was so darn nice and helpful. =)))

Photobucket
This Pass (the red one in the corner) gives discount to loads of places.

Then, we went to..

Photobucket
This place to buy tix to board..

Photobucket
... The Freego!

It's called 飞狗, translated into Freego. =))

Had to wait in a damn long queue in the damn humid weather.

Photobucket
But we cut the queue unknowingly. =DDD Nobody stopped us, so we just pretended not to know too. =DDD

Halfway while waiting, I realized one side of my favourite earring went missing.

Photobucket
Sobs. =(((

And I swore to buy loads of earrings to make up for its loss!!!

Photobucket
On board Freego.

Don't see the seats look so lok kok, brown, and LC looking. They are actually rather comfy.

Photobucket
Eh, the both of them never coordinate their smiles.

Photobucket
I think Brian's watching the TV.

Nevermind. They don't coordinate nevermind. Xiang and I coordinate can le. =))

Photobucket
=))))

Then, erm, yeah. Then I coordinated by myself.

Photobucket
=)

Photobucket
=))

Photobucket
=))))

Haha. It's my blog, remember. =D

Photobucket
The night scene outside wasnt fantastic.

So we watched the TV while waiting for the bus to send us right to our hotel. And boy, it really sent us right to the doorstep.

We hurriedly checked into the hotel, dumped all our luggage, and set off to the Taipei Main Station to buy the train tix to Hualien.

So, our very first virgin train ride on the Metro.

Photobucket
The board that holds damn important information.

Photobucket
And the complicated looking map.

Don't be deceived by its complicated look. The Taiwan Metro's really easy to navigate.

Photobucket
The train.. I like the blurred look. =)))

Photobucket
Kelvin and Brian were damn sian after all the rushing around, but not being able to buy the tix to Hualien 'cause it was the vacation and tix were sold out. =(((

Photobucket
The interior.

Photobucket
Erm, the fire extinguisher sign.

Photobucket
The door. I like the sign above the door! If only if Singapore can have this kinda signs.

Some of the stations have got barriers.

Photobucket
To prevent suicidal people from jumping into the tracks to commit suicide like in Singapore.

And the 4 of us, being Sony promoters, saw this damn huge Sony poster, and I cant resist the temptation to take a pic of it.

Photobucket
Loyal fans k?

Anyhow, since I'm blogging about my Taiwan trip, I shall provide the basic tutorial for those who wanna take the Metro in Taiwan.

First, buy a ticket from the ticketing machine.

Photobucket
Looks so different from the SG one huh?

Photobucket
First, refer to the board for the cost of the single trip ticket to your destination.

Photobucket
Select the amount that it would cost to go to your destination.

Photobucket
Put in the money.

Photobucket
Collect the ticket!

Photobucket
The ticket is damn cute. Looks like a token from the Arcades.

Photobucket
Then, walk to the barriers like Kelvin (who spoilt my pic by the way)

Photobucket
Scan the token on the right. If you are exiting, just drop the token into the slot.

This is a much easier option as compared to the Singapore way of collecting back the 1 buck coin at the ticketing machine after each trip, which is plain dumb, and clogs up the queues at the machines.

Why cant Singapore do the single trip thing this way? = S

Anyhow, the pic that I took for KM.

Photobucket
His S.H.E.

They look so darn haggard in this poster la. And every single day when we walk past this poster ('cause it's in the underpass leading to the XiMenDing MRT station), I would laugh at it without fail.

Going up 2 sets of escalators before emerging at the ground level, we originally had a hard time adjusting to the KEEP RIGHT rule. Everyone over in Taiwan really keeps to the right, while people who wanna overtake, overtake on the left.

Well, Xiang, Brian and I adjusted really quickly. It was only Kelvin who had a hard time adjusting, and he kept keeping to the left. Ha.

Anyhow,

Photobucket
The sight that one would see the moment one step outta XiMenDing MRT station.

We went searching for dinner as we all we had was the BK in Singapore. After searching for a damn long time, we finally settled for this pasta place which was found on the 2nd level of a shophouse.

We had..

Photobucket
Soup (too watery)

Photobucket
Garlic bread (too buttery)

Photobucket
Milktea (omgosh. The worst of the lot)

Photobucket
Pasta. Phew. Not bad.

It cost NT$230 per person I think. Not bad I guess for so much stuff (the horridness aside that is.)

But I nearly puked from the horrid milktea. I think they added butterscotch to the milktea. Eeks.

After dinner, went pottering around XiMenDing, and went into this convenience store.

And boy, the selection rocks la.

Photobucket
See? So chio!

Photobucket
Even the cakes look chio.

Saw loads of illegal hawkers selling damn tempting stuff.

Photobucket
Omgosh. My fav illegal hawker! Selling 香肠!

Photobucket
Don't belittle the normal looking sausages.

Photobucket
When toasted, it's damn good.

Photobucket
Bought one.

Photobucket
Eat it, and you will go into 香肠 heaven like the happy Kelvin.

Saw Dunkin Donuts!

Photobucket
Omgosh omgosh omgosh.

Photobucket
Look at the selection!!

Photobucket
Bought one even though I was so damn full.

Photobucket
Brian and Kel thought it looked like da bian.

!@#$%^&*()

Actually, after eating Dunkin Donuts, I don't understand what's the big hoo ha about it. I think Donut Factory's donuts are nicer. Really. Eat both and compare and you would know why. =))

Anyhow, it was getting rather late (10+++ pm), the streets were emptying already.

Photobucket
Getting dark, and people were heading home.

We decided to head back to the hotel.

Photobucket
Our hotel looks so dodgy. Ha.

It's located on the 7th level. So we had to take the lift up to the hotel.

Photobucket
Even the lift looks dodgy. =D

Photobucket
Creepy looking lift. No?

And we were finally back to our hotel room.

Photobucket
=)))))

Alright, I spent like 2 days blogging this post. Gosh. I wonder when would I have the patience to blog the remaining 9 days out when I have so so so much pics, and so much more exciting stuff!!

The reason that I can remember all these stuff is 'cause I wrote them all down in a booklet. Smart of me huh? =D

Till next time then. =))
