It's funny how old songs can get me emo'ing for the weirdest reason.


It's funny how I can miss my jc class so much upon listening to Guy Sebastian's Angels Brought Me Here.


Thinking of how we used to laugh at Tong, how she tried to get us to memorize the transition metals table by Fei Zhou Ni Gu Ding. But till now I have absolutely no idea what the hell does the Fei Zhou Ni Gu Ding stands for. Like so what the hell man.


Gosh, I can totally blog one whole post on Tong and Tong alone, and I guess only the S03 people would understand why.


But anyhow, it's only through the reminscing of my jc days that I realize that "Hey, actually my uni friends now do have their own share of jc days," just that I seldom look beyond what's on the surface of being friends in uni.


It's amazing how one such song can lead to such a long train of thoughts, all happened while I was supposed to be studying for my stem cell quiz.


Anyway, missing my jc days filled me with such sadness and funnily enough, happiness. Sadness 'cause I can never have those days again, sitting in the same seat, laughing at Tong with the same people, speaking my mind freely during GP, and running around the school for duties.


Yet I'm glad that I was blessed with the good fortune of enjoying those experiences.


Looking at the rate that the days are passing me by now, it would be in no time that I would be thrown into the working world, pitting myself against the real world.


No more childish bickers, no more 'he's mean to me', no more sitting in the lecture theatre trying my darnest to understand all the different accents by the different lecturers from different parts of the world.


And no more sheltering from the real world.


It's kinda freaky in the way that time is passing me by. Freaky in the sense that I'm growing up so fast when I still feel like I'm 18. Freaky in the fact that I would be thrown into the rat race so soon when I don't feel prepared at all.


And that's why after all these thoughts, it's best to just treasure everything that we have now, and try to spend the next 1 year plus that is bound to fly past in as much joy and happiness as possible.


Sounds cheesy I know, but that's just a simple wish of mine. =)

Hmmmm.. I have people *coughs* grasso *coughs* complaining that I always shock them with a huge ass picture of them the moment they load this blog, so I guess I better start off with a pic of mine instead la huh?

Oh, the other day was the Japanese festival thingie at school which had this using a paper net to catch fish thing.


Attracted by the damn cute nets, I went over to take a look.

Anyhow, I wanted to play the thing, but I cant keep the fish at home, so I asked SJ if she's willing to rear the fishies for me in hall. She agreed within a split second. So onz can!

We paid $17.50 each, and ate about $70+++ worth of Japanese food, which included 6 plates of salmon sashimi, enoki bacon, chawanmunshi, and other Jap food.


Really worth for such poor undergrads like us.


Oh, and we nearly puked after that sashimi binge. Ha.

Sigh. Sometimes days can get so dreary, so totally at odds with the desire for everything to go perfectly. It's like no matter how hard one try to stay happy, things just keep happening to dampen one's mood, pissing one off, or getting one all upset.


Nah. Nothing is wrong with me, I'm perfectly fine. Happy even, among all the numerous things that are burdening me (exams! exams!). Just stating an observation. =))

Dragged my ass outta bed to send Da Jie to the airport yesterday. And damn, she's taking SQ from the new atas Terminal 3! Utterly envious.


I mean, my family members have been flying overseas without me for the past few years. Korea, Malaysia, and now, to Hong Kong. How can I not be envious or even jealous man?


To make up for the trip that I missed, I flooded my sis cam with loads of pics of me. Ha. At the new airport terminal mah. How can I resist?! =D Too bad the pics are with her in Hong Kong/China now.


Anyhow, after the 2 weeks of rain that we had, the sun finally emerged.

So I convinced my parents to pop over to Changi Village to get the Changi Nasi Lemak.


Boon lay has Boon Lay Power Nasi Lemak, Changi has Changi Nasi Lemak. Singapore's best nasi lemak stalls are at the 2 ends of Singapore. I wonder what do the people living in the middle of Singapore do to get their fix of nasi lemak man.

Was on the bus the other day when I realized I was the only one on board the bus.

Alrighty, after pulling out my hair by the clumps just now, I'm finally blogging.


The cause of the clumps of hair scattered around me is along the line of lappy having several physical dumps; wanna do lab report also cant 'cause the lappy is so cranky; blogging halfway and the lappy decided to go on physical dump; wanna log on to Stars Planner also cant.


Crappy night.


But anyway, we (meaning the couz) finally took our annual flowers pics! It's the 3rd year running this year!


In 2006, we saw the birth of a tradition:

And I was looking so shu nu that I cant stand myself. Oops. =D

But I seriously miss having no frills long straight hair that don't poke out at the weirdest angle, or look flat at one corner, but fluffy at the other corner. Ay, short hair is like the monster of my hair woes.


Anyhow, I digressed.


This year, after much delay in taking the pic (read: cant get all the couz at Ah Ma house at the same time), we finally took it last Sat! Ho ho ho.

Everybody looks older. Gosh. We are growing up so fast. I can still remember playing in the garden at West Coast with the pokey grass poking our butts thru our shorts if we didnt put the plastic thing to sit on.


And trying to weed the garden by pulling out those weeds. And riding on bicycles in the big backyard aka playground, and sitting on the swings playing Mommy Daddy. I always end up as the Daddy 'cause I was the oldest. Crap.


Fast forward to the old house at Paya Lebar, with this gigantic car porch that can park 5 cars, playing badminton, sparkles, and God knows what. Oh, and the rearing of chickens for some weird reason, and me trying to play with Bobby the Golden Retriever who got so fat 'cause he was caged up all day long. Poor Bobby.


And now, we are all so old. I think we are starting to get wrinkles and cellulite, and what's not. But guess what, the love's still as strong. =))

I know I ought to be mugging my ass off for mass spec. But it's just so utterly boring that I cant help but fiddle with my blog.

On the other hand, I'm so screwed for the quiz man. =(((


Studying in school has its benefits of asking all the geniuses whenever I don't understand something. And that is pretty often judging on how mass spec is like so totally abstract and foreign to me.


Thanks to JianZhong (you'll be a damn good teacher in the future man.), Ant and Mk for their patience in explaining all the ECD, CID, ETD, MS/MS etc etc to me. Am really grateful. =))

Yesterday, while hiding from the rain in the resource, Xiaodi started kiap'ing his stapler together continuously.





Puzzled, I asked him what the hell was he doing.


MK *started shaking the stapler really hard*: "I think got something..."





".... stuck."



And at the "stuck", a paper clip flew outta the stapler, threatening to poke into my eye.


For some weird reason, I was so tickled by the sudden appearance of the giant paper clip that I started laughing like mad.


Yeah, I'm pretty mad, I know.

Ordinary but was oh so capable of making me laugh.
