Alright, I'm finally blogging my taiwan trip.
After spending like about 1 and a half hours resizing the pics, I'm finally ready to blog! Erm, blog about Day 1 that is. The rest of the 9 days pics are still in their original size. Hee.
Anyhow, leave this to load before reading! There's 118 pics in this post!! =DD
And.. be prepared to see loads of my face, and my face, and my face!! You get the gist of it. =DDD
So here we go!
On the fateful day 3rd July 2007, Daddy came home and sent me to the airport along with Mommy.

The excited me. =D
Reached the airport at 10.10am to check in the luggage: Kel with the heaviest luggage at 16kg!!!!, and Brian with the lightest at 9kg. We bade farewell to the 依依不舍 mothers whose kids were leaving them for the 1st time in their entire lives to go for a tour by themselves!
Erm, I'm referring to both Xiang and my Moms. 'cause the guys would have gone for NS trips to who knows where.
Anyhow, we started exploring the airport.

1st shot of the airport after we cleared the 1st barrier. What's that called ar? Immigrations?

Xiang and I were wearing the same shoes. Hee.
Then we saw..

Burberry!
Sadly, the sheep that Xiang and I saw in 2005 when we went HK was gone. =(((
But we found this instead!

Gelare!
It's a Tuesday!

Tuesdays Waffles Half Price Special! =DDD
See how happy we are.

Waffles!!
And so, Xiang and Kel went to buy the waffles

Wooooo!!
While I took some pics.

Of the shop with the damn cute name "KABOOM!!"
Then.. I got bored, and when Kimberly gets bored, she...
ZIPAI!

Zipai 1

Zipai 2: Put on my shades and act like a chick with an attitude.

Zipai 3: This one better?

Zipai 4: I'm back to the nice Kimberly smile. =))
Then Brian decided to chup in.

Zipai 5: Tsk. Spoil my individual zipai.
Decided to take a shot of Kel who was waiting patiently for the waffles.

He's guarding his bag like mad. 'cause he was carrying his lappy inside. Ha.
It was quite some time before our waffles arrived.

Erm, I forgot what's the flavour after 6months.

Same for this one too. Hee.
Then, Xiang and I went to the ladies. See? I'm demure. I said ladies instead of toilet/loo/whatever.

And zipai in the mirror! Ho ho ho.
We came out and I saw the telephone that offers free local calls.

Metallic phone.

In case of emergency, please call..
I couldnt resist..

Heehee.

Alright, give you a 鬼脸

See our departure flight? Taipei! Wooohoooo!!

Our feet
We then took the skytrain over to T2.
And damn, T2 has got more shops than T1!!

Evidence!
We also saw an SIA stewardess.

Wooo..

Took a pic together.

Saw the cabury cow.

And the Singapore Airlines plane..

And took a pic~ =)
By the way, did you know that the airport now uses sunflowers to brighten up the place?

So chio!

So so so chio!
But some were wilting already..

=((
We then took

the skytrain back to T1.

Brian's trolley. Handcarried such a big bag!!
We were looking for Mac to grab something before going to the gate. Who knows, Mac closed down. (omgosh. How is that possible?!) So we settled for..

BK instead..

The playground near BK.

The damn chio BK chairs.
We looked outta the windows and saw

Our plane!!!! =DDD
Anyhow, grabbed our meal.

Oooh. Looks so darn delicious. Heehee.
Then it was time to board..

My fav passport in the whole wide world + my air tix!
Erm, 'cause that's the only passport I have. ha.

Me and Xiang's air tix. Looks so damn LC la. =D
While going through the metal detector, the stupid thing beeped, and the female officer had to use a metal detector to check if the beeping was around my boobs area. Wire in the bra was the irritating thing causing the beeping.
This time round, flying wasnt as convenient as before. No liquid more than I forgot how much ml. Even nail clippers also not allowed. I wonder what can a nail clipper do..
But anyhow, we finally got onto the plane!

Looking outta the window.

You see erm.. I don't know what's that called.

Xiang!

Me!

Xiang and Me!

The 4 of us!
By the way, we took like a gazillion pics of us together before finally getting this. Damn hard to squeeze all of us in.

The white form.
And then.. we took off. =))))
I'm a terrible flyer 'cause I'm allergic to the dusty recycled air inside the cabin. Every single time I take a flight, I would start sneezing non stop.

=(((((

My companion. Bag -- not for vomitting in, but for throwing all the tissue paper. =((((((

The Xiang bo hiu my plight and played with her bro's PSP. Win liao.
Anyway, we were seated at the window seat beside a damn rich woman who kept watching HK drama on her lappy, and going "HEH HEH HEH" at the funny parts. Damn distracting, not that I have things for me to be distracted from, but still..
Oh, and she's rich 'cause she kept eating and drinking. She ate the 8 bucks nasi lemak and drank 2 cans of the 3bucks canned drinks. Like what the hell. Xiang and I only shared one bottle of mineral water.

The damn expensive water. =((((
The woman fall asleep really easily. So much so that when Xiang was going to the toilet, she woke up to let Xiang through, and when Xiang came back, the woman had already fallen asleep, and Xiang had to poke her awake to get through.
Wanna see how she looks like?

Xiang snuck a pic of her snoozing. Ha.
We sat behind his couple that was so energetic in their PDA. It felt as if they were gonna have s3x on the spot. I was sleeping halfway when I woke up to see them in a 热吻. Felt utterly disgusted and irritated 'cause they kept moving the bloody chairs.
Pic of the couple?

Irritating guy.
Got so bored during the 4 hours and 40mins flight that started to play boliao games.

i.e. Bingo.

Erm, Xiang won.
And started taking loads of zipai.
Yeah, camwhore alert!

Sunnies 1

Sunnies 2
After a damn long time, the plane finally landed!
And that was when we realized Wanling (one of the 4 in Love) was seated behind us all the while!!!
Anyhow,

The Taiwan airport.

Looking outta the windows

We hurried to pee.
As we were sitting in the front few rows of the flight, we were one of the first few that deboard (?)/ alight (?) the plane, and thus the toilet is empty. It soon filled up after Xiang and I went in. Ha.

The taiwan phone! Compare it with the Singapore one. =)))
And while queueing at the immigrations, we took another pic together.

Again, we took a gazillion times before finally getting one decent one.

After collecting our luggage. Don't know what that is meant for.
We went to apply for the Youth Travel Pass, and the lady as the counter was so darn nice and helpful. =)))

This Pass (the red one in the corner) gives discount to loads of places.
Then, we went to..

This place to buy tix to board..

... The Freego!
It's called 飞狗, translated into Freego. =))
Had to wait in a damn long queue in the damn humid weather.

But we cut the queue unknowingly. =DDD Nobody stopped us, so we just pretended not to know too. =DDD
Halfway while waiting, I realized one side of my favourite earring went missing.

Sobs. =(((
And I swore to buy loads of earrings to make up for its loss!!!

On board Freego.
Don't see the seats look so lok kok, brown, and LC looking. They are actually rather comfy.

Eh, the both of them never coordinate their smiles.

I think Brian's watching the TV.
Nevermind. They don't coordinate nevermind. Xiang and I coordinate can le. =))

=))))
Then, erm, yeah. Then I coordinated by myself.

=)

=))

=))))
Haha. It's my blog, remember. =D

The night scene outside wasnt fantastic.
So we watched the TV while waiting for the bus to send us right to our hotel. And boy, it really sent us right to the doorstep.
We hurriedly checked into the hotel, dumped all our luggage, and set off to the Taipei Main Station to buy the train tix to Hualien.
So, our very first virgin train ride on the Metro.

The board that holds damn important information.

And the complicated looking map.
Don't be deceived by its complicated look. The Taiwan Metro's really easy to navigate.

The train.. I like the blurred look. =)))

Kelvin and Brian were damn sian after all the rushing around, but not being able to buy the tix to Hualien 'cause it was the vacation and tix were sold out. =(((

The interior.

Erm, the fire extinguisher sign.

The door. I like the sign above the door! If only if Singapore can have this kinda signs.
Some of the stations have got barriers.

To prevent suicidal people from jumping into the tracks to commit suicide like in Singapore.
And the 4 of us, being Sony promoters, saw this damn huge Sony poster, and I cant resist the temptation to take a pic of it.

Loyal fans k?
Anyhow, since I'm blogging about my Taiwan trip, I shall provide the basic tutorial for those who wanna take the Metro in Taiwan.
First, buy a ticket from the ticketing machine.

Looks so different from the SG one huh?

First, refer to the board for the cost of the single trip ticket to your destination.

Select the amount that it would cost to go to your destination.

Put in the money.

Collect the ticket!

The ticket is damn cute. Looks like a token from the Arcades.

Then, walk to the barriers like Kelvin (who spoilt my pic by the way)

Scan the token on the right. If you are exiting, just drop the token into the slot.
This is a much easier option as compared to the Singapore way of collecting back the 1 buck coin at the ticketing machine after each trip, which is plain dumb, and clogs up the queues at the machines.
Why cant Singapore do the single trip thing this way? = S
Anyhow, the pic that I took for KM.

His S.H.E.
They look so darn haggard in this poster la. And every single day when we walk past this poster ('cause it's in the underpass leading to the XiMenDing MRT station), I would laugh at it without fail.
Going up 2 sets of escalators before emerging at the ground level, we originally had a hard time adjusting to the KEEP RIGHT rule. Everyone over in Taiwan really keeps to the right, while people who wanna overtake, overtake on the left.
Well, Xiang, Brian and I adjusted really quickly. It was only Kelvin who had a hard time adjusting, and he kept keeping to the left. Ha.
Anyhow,

The sight that one would see the moment one step outta XiMenDing MRT station.
We went searching for dinner as we all we had was the BK in Singapore. After searching for a damn long time, we finally settled for this pasta place which was found on the 2nd level of a shophouse.
We had..

Soup (too watery)

Garlic bread (too buttery)

Milktea (omgosh. The worst of the lot)

Pasta. Phew. Not bad.
It cost NT$230 per person I think. Not bad I guess for so much stuff (the horridness aside that is.)
But I nearly puked from the horrid milktea. I think they added butterscotch to the milktea. Eeks.
After dinner, went pottering around XiMenDing, and went into this convenience store.
And boy, the selection rocks la.

See? So chio!

Even the cakes look chio.
Saw loads of illegal hawkers selling damn tempting stuff.

Omgosh. My fav illegal hawker! Selling 香肠!

Don't belittle the normal looking sausages.

When toasted, it's damn good.

Bought one.

Eat it, and you will go into 香肠 heaven like the happy Kelvin.
Saw Dunkin Donuts!

Omgosh omgosh omgosh.

Look at the selection!!

Bought one even though I was so damn full.

Brian and Kel thought it looked like da bian.
!@#$%^&*()
Actually, after eating Dunkin Donuts, I don't understand what's the big hoo ha about it. I think Donut Factory's donuts are nicer. Really. Eat both and compare and you would know why. =))
Anyhow, it was getting rather late (10+++ pm), the streets were emptying already.

Getting dark, and people were heading home.
We decided to head back to the hotel.

Our hotel looks so dodgy. Ha.
It's located on the 7th level. So we had to take the lift up to the hotel.

Even the lift looks dodgy. =D

Creepy looking lift. No?
And we were finally back to our hotel room.

=)))))
Alright, I spent like 2 days blogging this post. Gosh. I wonder when would I have the patience to blog the remaining 9 days out when I have so so so much pics, and so much more exciting stuff!!
The reason that I can remember all these stuff is 'cause I wrote them all down in a booklet. Smart of me huh? =D
Till next time then. =))
"I am PRETTY, accept it."
